DESCRIPTION:This course provides initial training for maintenance workers involved in general maintenance and asbestos material repair tasks. The course agenda includes: Federal and state regulations\, proper asbestos related work practices\, respirator use\, care and fit testing\, protective clothing\, hands-on training and proper documentation procedures. \nThis course is 16-hours and is approved by the state of Colorado and meets all the requirements of the EPA and AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act). \nThis course is paid for by the employers. \nClass is subject to cancellation if we do not receive at least 4 registrations\, 24-48 hours prior to class date.

In addition to the core topics of the Asbestos Worker course\, this course features advanced topics for site supervision\, including effective supervision techniques\, specifications and contract documents\, legal issues\, insurance and bonding and supervision of abatement work site activities. \nThis course is 40 hours and is approved by the state of Colorado and meets all the requirements of the EPA and AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act). \nThis course requires an annual 8 hour refresher course to maintain accreditation. \nClass is subject to cancellation if we do not receive at least 4 registrations\, 24-48 hours prior to class date.
