8-Hour Construction Course Consists of electrical safety, fall protection, scaffold use, trenching/excavation, health hazards in construction, & personal protective equipment.

Health hazards are frequently overlooked in the construction industry.  This course will teach students how to identify potential health hazards, evaluate the risk posed by that chemical, and teach them how to appropriately measure and control their exposure.

This course provides a basic review of materials covered in the 40-hour HAZWOPER course.

This course covers the requirements for proper energy isolation for safe maintenance/repair of equipment, isolation methods, documentation, group LOTO and a wide array of electrical hazards commonly encountered at construction sites.

This course identifies common fall hazards, fall protection methods, and fall options.  It addresses different types of scaffolds available to them, how to identify safety hazards associated with scaffolds, and the expectations of OSHA for scaffold use.  It also addresses common ladder and stair hazards and associated mitigation methods.

Trenches and excavations pose significant risk to workers.  This course is designed to teach students about the hazards associated with trenching/excavation and how to safely work in and around trenches and excavations.
